Corellie: So, it's been two years since the last post. Caz hasn't done much playing of the site in all that time and I don't think it's going to change anytime soon. She still has just the two accounts, twin_kougras and cazkiyaku I still don't regret the mass freezing of all my other accounts. What's the point? The site went to hell two years ago and I barely give a flying fuck about Neopets these days. Hoshi: The site sucks because it isn't all about Jhudora! And they killed the Badeek! Corellie: They did that before you were even born! Hoshi: It still sucks! Adam and Donna actually left Neopets in 2005. Wow, that was a while ago, wasn't it? I figured they weren't involved in it much anymore but I wasn't sure what the situation was. Anyway, they got married. o-O Corellie: They used to deny being a couple. Well, maybe they weren't at the time. So, as far as I know, they sold Neopets to Dohring first but were still involved in the running of the site, then Dohring sold the site to Viacom and A&D left because they didn't like where the site was going. They really screwed up by letting that douchebag Dohring get involved. Neopets was ruined. =( Hoshi: I wish I could have been there for the good Neopets. What was the good Neopets like again, Mommy? Corellie: I'll tell you later... So, A&D have their own company, Meteor Games, and they basically make online games. There's a rumour that they might be making a new virtual pet site. =O I'm definitely interested. Neopets was a great site before Dohring came along and started ruining it, and I know Adam and Donna can make something far better than the steaming pile of crap Neopets is now. *sigh* The good Neopets was so short lived. I'm sure A&D will have learned from their mistakes. Hoshi: Don't sell it to a douchebag? Precisely. Okay, Corellie, why don't you tell Hoshi now? Corellie: Aw, do I have to? D= Basically, Neopets didn't suck. It was possible to get stuff from the money tree on dial-up, and there was live chat on the site. Stuff was cheaper than it is now. 100K was considered insanely rich. There were human shopkeepers, and even human Neopets based off Bruce Forsyth and Macy Gray, plus there was the Mellish. There were a lot of old Neopets back then that evolved and stuff, but there are too many to mention. The theme parks were so fun to play. And they didn't pretend technology doesn't exist back then. They had laptops, boom boxes, videos, that kind of thing. There were even bottles of wine. How awesome is that? It shows Neopets wasn't trying to be insanely kid friendly back then like they are now. You could actually create and submit items to the site. Oh and I actually got a free peach from the food shop once. No joke. It only cost 2NP and the guy just gave it to me when "haggling" o-O Hoshi: Wow, that's awesome! =O So, yeah, Neopets was a fun site once upon a time. The staff actually cared about their players and listened to them. The site was worth playing back then. Now it's just not the same. Neopets is just a crappy site now. I look forward to seeing what Adam and Donna come up with. If they do create a new virtual pet site, I'm definitely going to check it out. Their first virtual pet site started off so well, only to end up sucking. Hopefully, second time's the charm.

It's always interesting to see Caz's spazfits. She has a horrible habit of saying she quits and then... she doesn't. Though, she did freeze almost all her accounts. I don't feel bad about it or anything. In fact... I feel relieved. It's refreshing to only have two accounts and eight pets. Besides, I'm more or less just lingering... playing games and stuff. No insane goals, no desperation to buy paintbrushes, just playing games and doing dailies and feeding my pets. Those constant trips to the Soup Kitchen aren't a bad thing! ^_^ Caz kept cazkiyaku and twin_kougras. She's still kind of pissed at Viacom and Neopets Inc. for what they did, but she doesn't really want to leave us. The revamp didn't maim us too badly anyway. Suki and Suri look like whores though. D=

Subject: I'm quitting. Time: 11:10 pm Current Mood: nostalgic

I've decided that I am going to quit Neopets permanently. Neopets... is no longer the site I joined in 1999... it's had the life and soul sucked out of it and now everything is different. I'd rather not remain with this horrid new site with its horrid new style pets anymore. Back then, in 1999, the site was more fun and there was a closer community feel. The Neo team actually paid attention to the users and we could be sure they were human. Now it's a fad that probably has 395493838 robots working on it, ignoring the 70 million screaming kids that came through McDonalds. A magazine, a cereal, games, a movie... it's RIDICULOUS. I loved Neopets when it was still a virtual pet site! Aimed at college students! I don't want this Neopets Inc. shit! I want the days when there weren't millions of kids and hackers hanging around and spoiling the experience and when paintbrushes were much cheaper and such. Heh, it was actually possible to get stuff off the Money Tree on dial-up back in the old days... When they had theme parks, live chats, human shopkeepers... I miss the old days, but they are gone, and Neopets will never provide the experience it used to. It's not the same site anymore. It's some gruesome fad that's trying to be the new Pokemon, or probably already is, and I don't want to be a part of this crap. Hey, Neopets Team, remember when it was about the pets and the people who owned the pets and cared for them? You should have just stayed the way you used to be... not got all so damn popular. You don't even care what the users think! They could have polled us about the layout, the customisations, like they did with revamps... but, no. =/ I guess they don't care about user opinions anymore. Well, screw you, Neopets. I'm leaving... but I'll always fondly remember the old site. And the Badeek! Yes. Of course. You know you've quit many times before... But many times before, the site hadn't turned into a jumbled bunch of boxes and the pets hadn't been replaced with flash images where every colour (even Royal, Darigan, Grey, etc) is the same pose and Sad/Angry/etc. poses annihilated. With the removal of emotions, even the pets' souls have been sucked out. Now they're just a static bunch of pixels. Sad day... So... yeah. It's over.

Now let me deliver the news, Hoshi! Hoshi: Yours was lightslategray and mine was deeppink. Corellie: *ignores Hoshi* twin_kougras was reborn. Hoshi: =O REALLY?!?!?!?! Corellie: Yes! At about 3:50, Caz was randomly on the site and all of a sudden, she looked me up for the ten billionth time. Instead of seeing a fire Wocky named Corellie, she saw "this pet does not exist in Neopia". Hoshi: OMG! Jhudora did it! I knew she would if we prayed to her hard enough! Corellie: After almost six years? What is she, a diva? Hoshi: ... I don't know if she can swim. Should I ask? Corellie: ._.' You're older now, Hoshi. Please try and act like it. Anyway, Caz immediately freaked out and proceeded to recreate the account along with me, Suri, Suki and Fluff. WE'RE BACK! And I'm not a ghost anymore. I lost my ghost powers... Hoshi: Caz's main account will of course still be cazkiyaku. After six years of hard work, adjusting to a new account is hard, and she doesn't want to make Neopets think she's cheating by moving to a new account. Besides, we're still premium here... Neopets is making me so mad! They are taking too long to purge me, Suri, Suki and Fluff from the site! Caz wants to recreate us, but she can't until we're purged... she's even brought the FWMP and the PBs already... ._. She doesn't know what to paint Fluff though... maybe cloud, because you know, clouds are fluffy... Since I'm a ghost, I can go down there... where it's cold... and it's so depressing. I think everybody's forgotten how to live. Some of them walk around like zombies, some of them attempt suicide, some of them fight... they forget... Permasuri, Suki_kohana, Fluffrstuffr... so ready to die... just to be brought back into the world. It's the only way... T_T The only way for me to be properly alive again. Being a ghost is fun, but I'm not really even alive, not properly... I pray that we'll be purged. Maybe on June 5th... the three year anniversary. Hoshi's going to be three... Caz is very pissed off at Neopets. Their latest crime was to change the referral prizes around. You only needed ten referrals to get a coloured non-solid paintbrush. Now you know how many you need? ONE WHOLE FREAKING HUNDRED REFERRALS! Illusen must be behind this! I can't believe she would stoop so low! *cries* The evil bitch! She's making Caz angry! And now they're making Neopets movies... with Warner Bros... Neopets MOVIES. Obviously Dohring likes his little toy so much, he just can't help but try to make it gain more publicity. The site is crowded enough without you brainwashing the entire world to get onto the site, Dohring, you bastard! *flings darts at dartboard with Doug Dohring's face on it* Diiiiie!
